Lambda Psi employs a rigorous program of professional development for our members, as it is our main goal to develop our members professionally. We host a variety of professional events, such as guest speakers, workshops, and company tours. If you would like to host a company tour or workshop, or have any inquiries about our professional events, please contact our Vice President of Professional Event at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Guest Speakers & Mixers
During the academic year Lambda Psi invites multiple guest speakers in and they cover a variety of topics to help our members gain insight with professional advice. Topics that we often cover includes entrepreneurial stories, financial management, and professional attire.
We often host mixers and networking events with other students, professionals, professors, and alumni to allow our members the opportunity to network and create professional relationships.
WorkShops, Fairs & Mentorships
In the past Lambda Psi has worked with UH Hilo's ALEX program and the College of Business & Economics to host job & internship fairs, as well as mentorships and workshops. Our recent Spring 2017 fair brought in about 40 internship and job opportunities.
Our members also attend and participate in workshops and career programs not hosted by our chapter. This has included resume workshops and mock interviews.
Lambda Psi has had the opportunity to tour companies such as WikiFRESH and Mehana Brewery. These tours has given our members the opportunity to see how business run first hand and allows for questions and advice from employees regarding future employment.
